NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's basketball team absorbed an 86-82 non-conference loss to Pitt-Bradford Tuesday at the Buzz Ridl Gymnasium in New Wilmington.

Junior guard Craig Hannon (New Castle, Pa./Union) led the Titans with 23 points, while senior guard Nick Adams (Huntsburg, Ohio/Cardinal) and senior guard Greg Rosatelli (Clinton, Pa./Hopewell) each had 16 points.

Hannon was 7 of 12 from 3-point range as he attempted just two other shots from inside the arc to finish at 8-14 shooting from the field. As a team, the Titans shot 40.3 percent from the floor (31-77) including 37.8 percent (14 of 37) from 3-point range.

The Panthers (1-2) led by as many as 11 points (55-46) in the second half after leading 40-38 at halftime. Westminster was able to erase the lead, however, as senior guard/forward Dom Joseph (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) nailed a 3-pointer to tie the game, 74-74, with 2:24 remaining. Joseph finished with 11 points as one of four Titan double-figure scorers.

Pitt-Bradford re-took the lead on its next possession and wound up taking a four-point lead with 35 seconds remaining on a lay-up by Dan Thomas. The Panthers made of 5 of 6 foul shots down the stretch to secure the win.

The Titans (0-3) return to action Sunday at La Roche for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
