Liburdi named PAC Player of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster sophomore Ava Liburdi (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Golf Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

This is Liburdi's second PAC Player of the Week honor this season (Oct. 8) and the fifth of her career. She was the league's newcomer of the week three times last year.

Liberti averaged an 80.7 over three rounds last week. She tied for fifth at the Greenbrier Intercollegiate Invitational on April 6-7. The two-day event was played on the Meadows Course, located on the historic Greenbrier Resort. Liburdi finished with a two-round score of 157, shooting a second round 77 after an opening-round 80. She was fifth with an 85 Saturday at Westminster's annual Spring Invitational, which was hosted by the Avalon Field Club at New Castle. The Titans finished second at the eight-team event.

Up next:
Westminster will compete at the PAC Championships Friday-Saturday, April 24-25. The final two championship rounds will be played at Mill Creek Metroparks on the Mill Creek North Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio.
