Titans fourth at Peter C. Rossin Memorial Invitational

CANONSBURG, Pa.--Westminster freshman Brody Pirt (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) was the runner-up at Monday's Peter C. Rossin Memorial Invitational, hosted by Washington & Jefferson, helping the Titans post a fourth-place finish. 

The nine-team, 48-player event was held at Southpointe Golf Club. 

Mount Union won the team title with a team score of 329. Pitt-Greensburg was second (335) and W&J was third (337). Westminster's 338 was good for fourth place. Mount Union's Brian Myers earned medalist honors with a one-over 74. 

Pirt fired a five-over 78 to finish in second place. Freshman Aydan Gross (Mount Pleasant, Pa., Mount Pleasant) finished in a nine-way tie for sixth with an 84. Junior Tyler Hager (Lehighton, Pa., Palmerton) was one of four players to tie for 16th with an 86. Freshman Aiden Barker (Pittsburgh, Pa., Brentwood) tied for 29th (90) and senior Joshua Furman (Jefferson, Ohio, Jefferson) tied for 33rd (92). 

Up Next:
Westminster will participate in The Bedford Springs Invitational, presented by Lampire Biological Services, on Tuesday. The event, which is being hosted by Moravian, will be played at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort. The round will get underway at 10 a.m.
