Harrelson named PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster freshman Jacob Harrelson (Canal Fulton, Ohio, Green) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Baseball Newcomer of the Week Monday afternoon.

This is the first PAC weekly honor of Harrelson's career.

Harrelson fired 8.0 scoreless innings Wednesday in Westminster's 4-0 game one victory over W&J. He allowed three hits and one walk while striking out a career-high nine. Harrelson retired 13-straight between the second and sixth innings and didn't allow a runner beyond first base after the second. The Titans went on to sweep W&J for the first time since April 12, 2003. Harrelson improved to 4-0 this season with the victory. His 1.54 ERA is No. 2 in the PAC.

Westminster will travel to Waynesburg Tuesday. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
