Pirt named PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster freshman Brody Pirt (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Golf Newcomer of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

This is the first PAC weekly award of Pirt's career.

Pirt jumped five spots from Saturday's round to finish in a four-way tie for fifth place with a two-day score of 149 at The Pennsylvania Classic last weekend. The two-round event, hosted by Penn State Altoona, was played on Penn State's Blue Course. He followed Saturday's four-over 76 with a one-over 73 on Sunday.

Up next:
Westminster is scheduled to complete in the Thiel Spring Invitational on Monday, April 6. The event is being held at Avalon at Buhl Park in Hermitage.
