Westminster secures road win at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio--The Westminster women's lacrosse team earned an 18-6 win at Muskingum Saturday afternoon at the North Athletic Turf Field.

Westminster improved to 1-1 while Muskingum fell to 2-3.

Senior Julia Ravazza (Twain Harte, Calif., Dublin) led the Titans with six goals and two assists. Her unassisted goal to put Westminster up 11-3 was the 200th point of her career. Sophomore Allyssa Anstis (Coraopolis, Pa., Moon) finished with four goals, three ground balls, three caused turnovers and seven draw controls. Senior Chloe Courinos (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) totaled three goals and an assist.

Junior Falyn Snyder (Bel Air, Md., Bel Air) and freshman Meadow McDonald (Chardon, Ohio, Chardon) shared time in the net. Snyder secured the win, playing three full quarters, making eight saves with five ground balls. McDonald played the final 15 minutes and finished with three saves.

Westminster outshot Muskingum 30-26 and had the advantage in shots on goal, 20-12. Westminster went 16-of-19 on clears.

Westminster hosts Fredonia State (2-0) Wednesday. The opening draw from the UPMC Sports Complex is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
