Women's tennis falls at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio--The Westminster College women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Mount Union Saturday afternoon at the Whitehill Tennis Courts. 

Westminster's record fell to 3-5 overall. Mount Union improved to 2-1. 

Senior Christine Rossi (Jefferson Hills, Pa., Thomas Jefferson) and freshman Megan Blasko (Mercer, Pa., Pennsylvania Cyber Charter) secured a victory at No. 1 doubles, earning a 7-5 win over Amelia Francisco and Jillian Lohnes. The pair improved to 5-3 this fall with Saturday's win. 

Junior Emma Overlingas (Pittsburgh, Pa., Baldwin) claimed a 6-1, 6-4 win over Lohnes at No. 2 singles while Blasko improved to 6-2 in singles action with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Emily Peel at the No. 3 singles spot. 

Up Next:
Westminster will travel to Steubenville, Ohio to take on Franciscan Tuesday at the Belleview Tennis Courts. Doubles action is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
