Hergenrother named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--Westminster College rising senior Mick Hergenrother (Canfield, Ohio, Cardinal Mooney) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court Wednesday afternoon.

The NABC's academic awards, including the NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, are presented annually to teams and student-athletes from all levels of college basketball. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate students who finished the previous academic year with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher. Over 2,400 players earned a spot on the NABC Honors Court this year. 

Hergenrother, an accounting major also pursuing a minor in data analytics, earned a 3.93 GPA last spring and currently carries a 3.82 cumulative GPA. A two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® selection, Hergenrother started all 25 games last season and averaged 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He was second in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) in assists (106), third in minutes per game (34.6/game), fourth in steals (61) and sixth in free throw percentage (.793, 65-82). 

A four time Dean's List honoree, Hergenrother has been named to the PAC's Academic Honor Roll twice. 

Westminster finished the season 8-17 overall and 5-15 in the PAC.
