Westminster basketball to host instructional day camp

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College basketball programs will host an instructional day camp Monday, June 9 through Thursday, June 12.

The camp, designed for girls and boys aged 8 to 14, will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. The instructional camp will provide up-and-coming basketball players with the opportunity to focus on improving their fundamentals and skills while learning from Westminster coaches and players. Instruction will focus on ball handling, passing and shooting, as well as offensive and defensive concepts that will be taught through stations, contests and games.

The cost to attend the instructional day camp is $200. Registration is scheduled for Monday at 8:30 a.m. inside Memorial Field House. Please ensure campers bring a packed lunch each day, along with a water bottle, and be sure lunches are clearly labeled with the camper's name.

The camp will be run members of the Westminster basketball staff, including women's head coach Rosanne Scott, women's assistant coach Megan Sefcik and men's head coach David Richards, along with current and former Westminster players.
