Westminster women fall at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio--The Westminster College women's swimming and diving team suffered a 169-89 non-conference dual meet loss at the University of Mount Union Saturday afternoon inside the Hammond Natatorium.

The Titans opened with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of two minutes, 04.53 seconds. The "B" relay members included senior Amber Krebs (Whitewater, Wis., Whitewater), freshman Taylor Moats (Corry, Pa., Corry), sophomore Maddy McClain (Elizabeth, Pa., Elizabeth Forward) and senior Sara MacMurdo (Pittsburgh, Pa., Carlynton). 

McClain won the 500 with a time of 5:43.38 and finished third in both the 200 freestyle (2:09.40) and 200 backstroke (2:26.93). Senior Isabella Barnabei (Oakland, N.J., Indian Hills) won the 200 IM with a time of 2:27.92 and finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:08.17). 

MacMurdo finished second in the 50 freestyle (26.55) and the 100 freestyle (58.55) while Krebs was second in the 100 backstroke (1:07.76) and third in the 500 (5:59.71). Moats finished second in the 1000 (12:13.17) and sophomore Preslie Bodine (Poland, Ohio, Poland Seminary) was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.40). Freshman Avery O'Sullivan (Washington, Pa., Trinity) was second in 200 IM (2:48.28).

Westminster closed out the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:50.42). Moats, Bodine, Krebs and MacMurdo made up the relay.
