Four earn Academic All-District®

GREENWOOD, Ind.--Four Westminster College women's volleyball players were named 2025 Academic All-District® team selections Tuesday afternoon by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. 

Seniors Rachel LaSalvia (Columbus, Pa., Corry)Angie Nardone (Ellwood City, Pa., Lincoln) and Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview), along with sophomore Morgan O'Brien (Pittsburgh, Pa., Our Lady of the Sacred Heart)
, were all recognized. 

LaSalvia, an outside hitter, owns a 3.80 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while pursuing a major in biology. A two-time All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team selection (2024-25), she has been named to the College's Dean's List five times and is a three-time PAC Academic Honor Roll selection. This year, LaSalvia totaled 221 kills, 143 digs and 20.0 total blocks and finished with 872 career kills, 702 career digs, 105.0 total blocks and 66 service aces. She was also recognized as a CSC Academic All-District® selection in 2023 and 2024. 

Nardone, a setter, she holds a 3.58 cumulative GPA while pursuing majors in business administration and finance. Named Second Team All-PAC in November, she has been named to the College's Dean's List three times and is a two-time PAC Academic Honor Roll selection. Nardone had 534 assists, 224 digs and 20 service aces this season, totaling seven double-doubles, and finished her career with 1,818 assists, 994 digs and 97 aces. She earned CSC Academic All-District® honors for a second-straight year. 

Rambo, a middle hitter, carries a 3.74 cumulative GPA while pursuing a major in environmental science. Named First Team All-PAC in November, she is a three-time All-PAC selection (Second Team in 2024, Honorable Mention in 2023). Rambo has earned Dean's List honors five times and has been named to the PAC's Academic Honor Roll three times. She ranked eighth in the PAC in both hitting percentage (.248) and total blocks (76.0) this season and wrapped up her collegiate career with 627 kills and 307.0 total blocks, which is tied for 23rd among active Division III leaders. Rambo is a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® selection. 

O'Brien, a versatile setter and right side player, carries a 4.00 cumulative GPA while pursuing a major in biology. A 2025 Honorable Mention All-PAC selection, she has been named to the College's Dean's List twice and was a PAC Academic Honor Roll selection last fall. O'Brien finished the year with a team-high 251 kills to go along with 331 assists, 203 digs, 14 aces and 46.0 total blocks. Her four triple-doubles this season are tied for ninth in Division III. O'Brien is the lone PAC player to post a triple-double this year.

Westminster concluded its season with a 20-11 overall record and a conference record of 10-6. It was the Titans' fifth 20-win season since 2018. Westminster, the championship tournament's No. 3 seed in the PAC North Division, fell to the PAC North Division No. 1 seed Hiram Nov. 13 in the semifinal round after earning a quarterfinal win over the No. 2 seed in the PAC South Division Chatham on Nov. 11.
