2025 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar

Four to participate in NCAA's Emerging Leaders Seminar

INDIANAPOLIS--Four graduate assistants representing the Westminster College Department of Athletics have been accepted into the 2025 cohort of the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar (ELS). The annual professional development program educates, develops and connects selected learners and equips attending young professionals with the skills necessary to accelerate their career progression in college sports.

Hosted by the NCAA leadership development staff, the three-day event will welcome nearly 200 interns and graduate assistants from NCAA member schools, conference offices and affiliate organizations to the national office from Feb. 5-7. The theme for this year's Emerging Leaders Seminar is "Lead Like a Hero: Unleash Your Superpower".

Ruthie Betts, Anthony Esposito, Chance Hendricks and Connor Mundis will be looking to gain an expansive network of peers and industry leaders to call upon throughout their professional journey that will help them succeed within their current and future roles.

"Hundreds of graduate assistants and interns apply to this program yearly, and only a select few get the chance to attend," said Deputy Director of Athletics for Communications and Administration Kevin Fenstermacher. "It's a real honor to have our graduate assistants chosen and we are very proud of Ruthie, Anthony, Chance and Connor for putting themselves out there with confidence. These four have been discussing this seminar since receiving word of their acceptance on Dec. 17, and I know they're ready to embrace the opportunities and experiences that come from being a part of this elite professional development program." 

Ruthie Betts--Graduate Assistant, Softball
Betts attended Juniata College and earned dual bachelor's degrees in early education and special education in May 2023. She was a four-year member of the Eagles' softball program is working towards a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Counseling. 

Anthony Esposito--Graduate Assistant, Athletic Communications
Esposito, a 2022 Westminster graduate, earned a bachelor's degree in sports management. He played men's soccer and men's tennis during his four years and is completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a general management concentration.

Chance Hendricks--Graduate Assistant, Women's Soccer
Hendricks graduated from Marist College, earning a bachelor's degree in marketing in May 2024. She was a four-year member of the Red Foxes' women's soccer program and is pursuing a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a general management concentration.

Connor Mundis--Graduate Assistant, Football
Mundis earned a bachelor's degree in sports management in the fall of 2023 from Juniata College and was a member of the Eagles' football program for four years. He is working towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a general management concentration.
