Westminster falls on road

BEAVER FALLS, Pa.--The Westminster College men's tennis program was dealt a 9-0 loss at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Geneva College Monday night at the Blackhawk High School Courts. 

Geneva improved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the PAC. Westminster fell to 1-6 overall and 1-4 in league play. 

Westminster freshmen Jacob Timonere (Ashtabula, Ohio, St. John) and Colin Bork (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler) suffered three-set losses at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Timonere fell to David Clark 6-0, 3-6, 11-9 at No. 3 while Bork lost to Owen Landis 6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 10-8 at No. 4. Clark and Landis earned an 8-3 win over Timonere and Bork at No. 2 doubles. 

Westminster is back in action Friday at Penn State Behrend. Doubles matches are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
