Trailing 1-0, Latess smacked a two-out, two-run home run in the third to stake the Titans a 2-1 lead. She delivered a three-run homer in the fifth to up Westminster's advantage to 5-1.

Grove City sent nine batters to the plate in the fourth and Erin Mulholland's two-out, pinch hit three-run home run capped the four-run frame. Senior second base Liz Malczak (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) and Latess got the seventh inning started with base hits before freshman Natalie Davis (Youngstown, Ohio, Boardman), who replaced graduate starter Madison Brown (Lisbon, Ohio, East Liverpool) in the top of the inning, laid down a successful sacrifice bunt that moved both into scoring position. The Titans' walked off on a fielding error that allowed sophomore pinch runner Olivia Plummer (Seneca, Pa., Cranberry)
to score from third.

Latess went 3-for-5 with a walk, two home runs, five RBIs and two runs scored. Malczak finished 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored while freshman catcher Faith Jones (Volant, Pa., Wilmington) went 2-for-4 with a run.

Brown went six innings in the no decision, allowing five runs (1 earned) on eight hits with five strikeouts. Davis improved to 2-0 with her second-straight relief win, walking one batter in the seventh.
