Westminster women fall at Clarion

CLARION, Pa.--The Westminster College women's swimming and diving team fell 212-39 at PennWest Clarion Friday night at the Waldo S. Tippin Natatorium.

Senior Isabella Barnabei (Oakland, N.J., Indian Hills) finished in second place in the 1000 with a time of 11 minutes, 54.65 seconds and was third in the 200 IM (2:28.40). Senior Sara MacMurdo (Pittsburgh, Pa., Carlynton) turned in a third-place finish in the 100 free (57.97) and was fourth in the 50 free (26.13). Freshman Taylor Moats (Corry, Pa., Corry) was third in the 200 breaststroke (3:04.37) and fourth in the 200 freestyle (2:15.45).

Sophomore Annabelle Turner (Butler, Pa., Butler) finished fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:09.96) and the 200 butterfly (2:27.11). Senior Christina Loewe (Austin, Texas, Veritas Academy) placed fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:06.55), senior Sara Swanson (Avondale, Ariz., Odyssey Institute for Advanced and International Studies (OIAIS)) was fourth in the 100 freestyle (1:03.65) and senior Amber Krebs (Whitewater, Wis., Whitewater) was fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:31.01). Sophomore Preslie Bodine (Poland, Ohio, Poland Seminary) was fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.38) and freshman Avery O'Sullivan (Washington, Pa., Trinity) finished fourth in the 500 (6:27.30).

The 200 medley "A" relay finished fourth with a time of 1:59.92. Relay members included Loewe, Bodine, Turner and MacMurdo. The 200 freestyle "A" relay was fourth (12:49.36). Krebs, Bodine, Loewe and MacMurdo made up the relay.

Westminster will head to the College of Wooster Invitational Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 5-7.
