LaRosa named United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--Westminster College freshman Chloe LaRosa (Tyrone, Pa., Tyrone) was named the United Soccer Coaches Division III Women's Soccer Player of the Week Wednesday afternoon.

In Westminster's two victories last week, LaRosa totaled five goals and two assists for 12 points. She had a hat trick--her second this season--and two assists in a 9-1 victory over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on Sept. 13 before netting the only two goals scored in a win over Heidelberg University on Sept. 16.

A forward, LaRosa has earned starts in each of Westminster's seven matches this year. The Titans' 7-0 start to the season is the first in program history.

LaRosa ranks second in Division III with 12 goals and 26 points (12G, 2A).

LaRosa was honored as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week Sept. 11 and PAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18.

Westminster will host Allegheny College in its PAC home opener Saturday. Kickoff at the UPMC Sports Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.
