Westminster falls at home to Grove City

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) decision to visiting Grove City College Monday afternoon. 

Westminster fell to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the league. It snapped a three-match win streak. Grove City pushed its season record to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the PAC. 

Freshman Emma Overlingas (Pittsburgh, Pa., Baldwin) and junior Taylor Dlugozima (Volant, Pa., Wilmington) earned an 8-6 No. 2 doubles victory. The pair is 3-0 this season. 

Grove City led 2-1 after the conclusion of the doubles matches. 

Sophomore Christine Rossi (Jefferson Hills, Pa., Thomas Jefferson) scored a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles while Overlingas won 7-6, 6-4 at No. 5 singles to improve to 5-1 in singles play.

Westminster will travel to Waynesburg University Tuesday for a 4 p.m. PAC match.
