GREENSBURG, Pa--The Westminster College baseball team suffered a 13-12 non-conference loss at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Wednesday afternoon.

Westminster fell to 5-8 this season. Pitt-Greensburg improved to 11-3.

Junior shortstop Logan Murgenovich (Aliquippa, Pa. | Central Valley) went 3-for-5 with a home run, a walk, five RBIs and two runs scored Wednesday. His ninth inning two-out, two-run home run cut the Pitt-Greensburg lead to one before reliever Ben Aftanas issued walks to both Cooper and graduate student right fielder Seth Schrader (Fredonia, N.Y. | Fredonia).
James Domer, Pitt-Greensburg's starting center fielder, entered with two outs and induced a line out to end the game.

Junior left fielder Matthew Randza (Beaver Falls, Pa. | Blackhawk) and senior center fielder Brandon Cooper (Oakdale, Pa. | West Allegheny) each finished with three hits for Westminster. Randza had a double and three runs scored. Cooper added a pair of RBIs.

Junior second baseman Donald Shimko (Greensburg, Pa. | Greater Latrobe)
had an RBI double, two walks and a pair of runs scored. Sophomore third baseman Braeden Campbell (Glenshaw, Pa. | Shaler) drew a pair of walks and scored twice.

Sophomore reliever Ryan Gibbons (Ellwood City, Pa. | Lincoln) took the loss afer allowing two runs (1 earned) on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 1.2 innings.

Domer went 3-for-6 with a double and four RBIs for Pitt-Greensburg. He also earned the pitching win.

Down 7-6 after six full innings, Westminster scored four in the seventh on Randza's two-run double and Murgenovich's two-run single to take a 10-7 lead. Pitt-Greensburg answered with four of its own in the bottom of the frame to go up 11-10.

Trailing 12-10, Murgenovich's two-run home run in the ninth tied the game at 12-12. Will Thorp drove in the game-winning run with a two-out base hit in the bottom of the inning.
