STEUBENVILLE, Ohio--The Westminster College men's basketball team overcame a five-point halftime deficit to earn a 67-63 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victory Saturday afternoon at Franciscan University.

Westminster, now 6-5 overall, improved to 4-4 in the league. Franciscan fell to 3-6 overall and 2-5 in PAC play.

Sophomore Quincy Jones (Youngstown, Ohio, Chaney) led Westminster with 16 points and four rebounds. He shot 6-of-13 from the floor and went 4-of-4 at the free throw line. It was his ninth game of the year scoring 15 or more points. Sophomore Trey DePietro (Boardman, Ohio, Boardman) finished with 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting and added five rebounds. Senior Andrew Clark (New Middletown, Ohio, Springfield Local) totaled 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three blocked shots and three steals. He went 4-of-7 from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line. Freshman Brady DePietro (Boardman, Ohio, Boardman) had six points and seven rebounds while senior Reese Leone (Beloit, Ohio, West Branch) added five points, six rebounds and four assists.

Brady DePietro scored on a layup that pushed Westminster's first half lead to seven, 24-17, with just over six minutes left, but a 16-4 Franciscan run, which covered the final 5:43 of the half, allowed the Barons to carry a 33-28 lead into the break. Nicholas Allienello hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 28-28 with 2:27 remaining and scored six of Franciscan's final eight points of the half.

Jones paced the Titans in the first, posting 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting.

Jones converted a pair of free throws with just under 12 minutes to play to even the score at 44-44 and Brady DePietro's layup with 9:33 left extended the Titans' lead to eight, 53-45, capping an 11-1 scoring run. Franciscan pulled to within two, 61-59, with just under four minutes in regulation on a Sawyer Butler layup before Clark's jumper with under 40 seconds remaining put the Titans up five, 64-59. Leone went 3-of-4 from the line down the stretch to ice the game.

Allienello led three Franciscan players in double figures with 13 points.

Westminster shot 43.1 percent (25-58) from the field and finished 14-of-19 (.737) from the foul line. Franciscan had a 43-40 advantage on the glass while the Titans outscored the Barons 44-36 in the paint.
