Women's tennis drops PAC match at Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio-- The Westminster College women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to Franciscan Wednesday afternoon at the Belleview Courts. 

Westminster fell to 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the conference. Franciscan improved to 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the PAC.

Freshman Emma Overlingas (Pittsburgh, Pa., Baldwin) earned the lone victory for the Titans at No. 5 singles, defeating Margaret Vernau 6-0, 6-0. Overlingas has won 11-straight singles matches and is 12-1 overall and 8-1 in PAC play.

Westminster will conclude its regular season by hosting California (Pa.) on Saturday. The match is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
