NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster women's lacrosse team lost, 15-12, at home against Bethany in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup Saturday afternoon.
"I think there were a lot of good learning points in this game," said head coach Bethany Snider. "I think we waited way too long to get going in the game. We scored almost as many goals in the fourth quarter as we did in the first, second, and third. A lot to look forward to next week against Grove City. Defense is definitely an importance in the next few days at practice."
In the fourth quarter, Westminster (2-8, 0-6 PAC) scored three-straight goals (15-12) in the last five minutes, however, Bethany (7-8, 2-4 PAC) was able to hold on to the lead for the rest of the game.
The Titans were led by junior Stephanie Cimini (Mars, PA / Mars Area), who tallied a game-high seven points with six goals, and one assists, followed by senior Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) with four goals and two assists.
Titan first-year goalkeeper Jade Hromanik (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) tallied 10 saves in the complete-game effort.
Westminster is back in action Tuesday, April 26 at Grove City for a PAC contest. Start time is at 6 p.m.
