NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster women's lacrosse team lost, 18-2, at home against Washington and Jefferson in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup Wednesday afternoon.
"I think overall, defensively, we had some hiccups, but we try to keep a short memory and let it get past us," said head coach
Bethany Snider. "Offensively, we have got to move better, find people better, and we have to fight. Looking forward to our next game, we just need to compete right off the bat, playing the ball, and playing together."
After Washington and Jefferson (7-4, 5-0 PAC) went up 2-0, sophomore
Nina Rascona (Somerset, PA / Somerset Area) put Westminster (2-7, 0-5) on the board with its first goal. However, the Presidents were able to build upon their lead and remain ahead for the rest of the game.
The Titans were led by Rascona, who registered a goal with three ground balls and three caused turnovers. Senior
Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) notched a goal with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Polczynski tied a team-high of 20 goals this season with junior

First-year
