NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Westminster College women's and men's swimming & diving teams hosted The College of Wooster on Saturday afternoon.
Wooster won over Westminster's men, 191-105, while Wooster's women also prevailed, 193-81.
Westminster winners included divers Alexa Young and Patrick Holton. First-year standout Young (Pittsburgh/Mount Lebanon High) won the 1-meter event with a total of 155.95 points. Holton (Livonia, Mich./Winston Churchill High), a graduate student, swept the 1- and 3-meter dives with respective totals of 267.95 and 341.80 points.
Other Westminster winners included sophomore Christina Loewe (Austin, Texas/Veritas Academy), who copped the 100-yard backstroke (2:16.74), and sophomore Dawson Yocum (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound High), who took the 1000-yard freestyle event in a time of 10:58.25.
Westminster women (2-1 overall, 1-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference) and men (1-2, 1-0) will compete in the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19. Friday's action commences at 4 p.m., while competition continues Saturday at 10 a.m.
