ROANOKE, W. Va. – The Westminster women's golf team won their second-straight event as they placed first at the West Virginia Wesleyan Invitational at the Stonewall Resort on Thursday.
The Titans carded a team score of 342, eight strokes better than second place, out of four teams.
Junior
Erika Hoover (New Castle, PA / Wilmington Area) and sophomore
Sierra Richard (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) led Westminster, both tying for third with an 83. Also earning a top-10 finish for Westminster was junior
Kasey Clifford (Longport, NJ / Ocean City) who earned seventh place with an 86. Junior
Baylee Horvath (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) rounded out the top-4 Titan scorers with a 90, tying for 12th. Completing the fivesome was sophomore
Morgan Byers (Venetia, PA / Peters Township) who shot a 96 (18th). Junior
Olivia Ledbetter (Tarrs, PA / Southmoreland) competed as an individual (26th/111).
Westminster gets right back on the course Friday, September 17 as it competes in the Thiel Invitational with a 1 p.m. start.
