GREENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 3 Westminster women's tennis team lost, 5-2, to No. 2 Washington and Jefferson in the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) Semifinals on Saturday.
Titan junior
Sabrina Slagle (Upper St. Clair, PA / Upper St. Clair) teamed up sophomore
Caroline Fox (Acton, CA / Vasquez) to earn a No. 2 doubles victory, 8-3. Fox also won No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-1.
First-year duos
Emma Sukal (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) and
Gia Francisco (Canfield, OH / Canfield) at No. 1 and
Ryleigh Valone (Erie, PA / Villa Maria Academy) and
Taylor Dlugozima (Volant, PA / Wilmington) at No. 3 doubles lost nail-bitters, 8-6 and 8-7 (8-6), respectively.
The Titans concluded their fall season with an overall record of 10-3 and 5-3 in the PAC.
