WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster men's soccer team defeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington and Jefferson, 2-1, on the road Saturday.

Westminster (6-5, 2-0 PAC) was able to gain early momentum as graduate student Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) found the back of the net for his seventh goal of the season from throw-in assist by senior Sam Accordino (Canfield, OH / Canfield). As the first half rolled on, Byas Parker of Washington and Jefferson tied the game in the 35th minute. The game was tied, 1-1, at intermission.

During the 52nd minute, senior Tyler Caterino (Monessen, PA / Monessen) blasted the eventual game-winner. The Titan defense held the Presidents at bay to seal the victory.

Titan junior goalkeeper Jad Jadallah (Canfield, OH / Canfield) earned the win, tying a career-high eight saves in the complete game effort.

The Titans are back in action Wednesday, October 6 as they host Bethany under the lights for a PAC showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
