ERIE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's golf team competed in the Gannon Invitational on Thursday at Whispering Woods Golf Course.
The Titans finished in sixth place out of nine teams with a team score of 319.
Senior
Connor White (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) and sophomore
Jonny Stuckert (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) paced the Titans, each firing six-over 78 to finish tied for 15th in the 51-player field composed of both NCAA Divison II and III players. Junior
Avery Andric (Lisbon, OH / Lisbon David Anderson) and reigning PAC Rookie of the Week
Michael Bell (Canonsburg, PA / Peters Township) were both right behind firing rounds of 81 (tied for 23
rd) and 82 (27
th), respectively. Sophomore
Connor Chirdon (Cheswick, PA / Deer Lakes) rounded out the lineup for the Titans, shooting an 84 to finish tied for 33rd place.
The Titans' score of 319 is the best score for their 2019 Spring season, besting their previous mark of 328 last week at the Grove City MBA Invitational.
Westminster will be back on the course on Wednesday, April 24 when it travels to Latrobe, Pa. to compete in the Saint Vincent Invitational.
