NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected men's basketball junior guard
Isaac Stamatiades (Elkridge, MD / Avalon) as its Titan Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week of Nov. 18.
Stamatiades averaged 24.0 points, 14.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks last week for 2-0 Westminster. He had a 21-point, 17-rebound double-double in the Titans' 78-68 win over No. 22 Baldwin Wallace last Tuesday. His 17 rebounds were a career-high. Stamatiades scored a career-high 27 points to go along with 12 rebounds in Saturday's 66-59 victory over Franciscan. It was his fourth double-double of the season. He was also named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
The Titans are back in action at Division I Youngstown State University on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
