NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Westminster College men's golf team hosted its Fall Invitational at the New Castle Country Club on Monday.
The Titans fielded two teams. The group of senior
Connor White (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) (81/T8), first-year
Michael Bell (Canonsburg, PA / Peters Township) (81/T8), sophomore
Kolby Montgomery (Rimersburg, PA / Union) (82/T15), junior
Avery Andric (Lisbon, OH / Lisbon David Anderson) (83/T22), and senior
Frank Pantano (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) (83/T22) finished third with a 327.
Westminster's second group of sophomore
Connor Chirdon (Cheswick, PA / Deer Lakes) (81/T8), freshman
John Popa (Salem, OH / South Range) (81/T8), freshman
Christopher Chudik (St. Petersburg, FL / Boca Ciega) (107/57th), senior
Michael Douds (Erie, PA / Cathedral Prep) (113/60th), and sophomore
Joshua Veon (Cranberry Twp., PA / Seneca Valley) (116/ T61) placed 10
th with a team score of 382.
Saint Vincent College won out of 12 schools via a tie-breaker with a score of 324. Jordan Delillo, from Kent State Tuscarawas was the medalist via a tie-breaker with a score of 77.
The Titans will next compete in the two-day Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships in Wheeling, W.Va., starting on Monday, October 1.
