BRADFORD, Pa. – The Westminster College men's golf team opened the season at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Westminster fielded two teams, with Team B shooting a combined score of 331 and Team A totaling a score of 333, good for tenth- and 11th-place, respectively.
Titan senior
Connor White (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) tied for 12th, shooting a team-best round of 78. Freshman
John Popa (Salem, OH / South Range) finished next for Westminster, shooting an 80, which tied for 24th-place. Sophomore
Connor Chirdon (Cheswick, PA / Deer Lakes) and freshman
Michael Bell (Canonsburg, PA / Peters Township) tied for 36th, each shooting rounds of 82. Sophomore
Kolby Montgomery (Rimersburg, PA / Union) rounded out the top five for the Titans, shooting an 84, a score that tied for 45th on the day.
Westminster is back in action Sunday, September 9 in the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College.
