BETHANY, W. Va. – The Westminster College women's basketball team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as it lost, 63-43, at Bethany College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.

Alazia Greaves (West Sunbury, PA / Moniteau), along with sophomores
Emily Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) and
Brooke Lyczek (Cranberry Twp, PA / Seneca Valley) each registered six points. Senior
Kristine Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) tied a game-best with seven rebounds, while E. Fromknecht grabbed six. E. Fromknecht also tallied a game-high two blocks. Sophomore
Francesca Sicari (Erie, PA / McDowell) led the Titans with three assists. K. Fromknecht and junior
Jackie Mathews (Pittsburgh, PA / OLSH) both pocketed three steals.
Westminster (7-12, 3-9 PAC) jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the opening minutes of the first quarter. Bethany (9-10, 6-6 PAC) went on a 6-2 run to take its first lead of the game (8-7) with 5:57 on the clock. The Bison maintained their lead for the remainder of the first quarter and had their largest lead of seven points twice, with the latest coming with 28 seconds left (19-12). In the second quarter, the Titans battled back and tied the game at 23, after a layup by Sicari concluded an 11-4 Titan run with 3:48 left in the half. E. Fromknecht put the Titans back in front, 25-23, their first lead since the seven-minute mark of the first quarter, with a jumper with 2:09 remaining, but Bethany would tie it at 25 and the score remained the same at intermission. The Bison pulled away in the third quarter after outscoring the Titans, 19-6. Bethany maintained its double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest.
Bethany outshot Westminster 43.1% (22-51) to 29.8% (14-47) and outrebounded the Titans, 40-27.
The Titans will next play at PAC foe Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m.
