GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Westminster College women's basketball team fell to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Grove City College, 72-51, on the road Wednesday evening.

Emily Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) scored a team-high 10 points while also recording a game-high four blocks. Senior
Kristine Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) tied for a game-high with six rebounds. Junior
Jackie Mathews (Pittsburgh, PA / OLSH) registered seven points and tied a team-high three assists, while senior
Paige Quinn (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) totaled six points and five rebounds.
Westminster took an early lead (6-4) at the seventh-minute mark of the first quarter when first-year guard
Alazia Greaves (West Sunbury, PA / Moniteau) knocked down a three-pointer. With the game tied at 10, Grove City went on an 8-0 run to finish the quarter, leading 18-10 after one. In the second quarter, Grove City led 20-14 with 7:36 to go. The Titans went on a 9-0 run to take a 23-20 lead with 4:36 on the clock. Grove City took a 30-28 lead into halftime. The Wolverines started the third quarter on an 18-0 run, leading 48-28 with 1:46 left in the third. Grove City ended the third quarter, leading 55-32. Grove City held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Grove City outshot Westminster, 42.9% (24-56) to 33.3% (17-51). The Wolverines also outrebounded the Titans, 39-32.
Westminster is back in action Saturday, January 13 as it plays host to Saint Vincent College. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
