WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Westminster College volleyball team swept Wilmington College, 3-0, in non-conference action on Saturday for its ninth-straight win.
The Titans won set one, 25-14, set two, 25-20, and set three, 25-15.
Senior
Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) earned a match-high 15 kills, and also led in service aces (4) and blocks (4). Junior
Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) and sophomore
Allison Rebich (Erie, PA / Mercyhurst Prep) added seven and five kills, respectively. Freshman
Hannah Santom (Grove City, PA / Grove City) dished-out a team-high 13 assists, while junior
Shanna Daniels (Hermitage, PA / Billy C. Ryan) had 12. Daniels added two aces. Saxton led the Titan defense with a match-best 14 digs. Sophomore
Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) and junior
Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) registered 13 and 12 digs, respectively. DeGeorge also had two aces and three blocks.
The Titans improved to 11-1 overall, while the Quakers dropped to 4-10.
Westminster will next travel to Thomas More College tomorrow for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) showdown at 1 p.m. The Saints and the Titans are currently the top two schools in the conference standings.
