Men’s Soccer: Iregui Scores Twice in Westminster’s 4-0 Shutout Over Penn College

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team won, 4-0, at Pennsylvania College of Technology in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.
 
Freshman Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) scored two of Westminster's goals. Iregui's first goal came 11 seconds into the game off a 20-yard strike and the second one occurred in the 61st minute off a deflection in the box. Senior Zack Walters (Hermitage, PA / Hickory) had the assist for both goals. Iregui now leads the team with four goals on the season.
 
Walters (28:05) and senior Jon Clark (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) (82:52) also scored for the Titans. Sophomore Ahmed Cisse (Germantown, MD / Clarksburg) earned the assist on Walters's goal with a corner kick (Walters scored with a header), while junior Justin Brandt (Ellicott City, MD / Archbishop Spalding) found Clark with a cross.
 
Titan goalkeeper junior AJ Bove (New Stanton, PA / Hempfield Area) (3-4-1) earned five saves in 64:22 minutes of work.
 
Westminster outshot Penn College 12-9, including 10-5 on goal. The Wildcats held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
 
The Titans improved to 3-4-1 overall, while the Wildcats dropped to 1-5.
 
Westminster is back on the field Wednesday, September 20 for a home contest against La Roche College beginning at 7:30 p.m.
