NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Titan sophomore
Ryan Shorts (Westlake Village, CA / Oak Park) scored the game-winning goal in the Westminster College men's lacrosse team's 9-8 triple overtime win over Hanover College in its final regular season home game on Saturday.
Hanover (2-11, 1-4 ORLC) led 2-0 with two goals in the first quarter, courtesy of Joseph DeLeo (6:14) and Brock Warner (5:28). Titan freshman
Chris Ryczaj (Pittsburgh, PA / Central Catholic) cut the Panthers' lead to 2-1 with a goal with 5:08 remaining and the score remained the same after one. Hanover scored two in the second quarter, while the Titans netted three and the game was tied, 4-4, at halftime; freshman

Adrian Culp (Gaithersburg, MD / Quince Orchard) found Slater for a goal at the 10:50 mark. Hanover responded with two-straight goals and led 6-5 with 8:06 on the clock, however, Westminster answered with three-straight goals, all from Culp, and led 8-6 with 5:32 remaining in the game. Hanover tied the game at 8 after Patrick Boylston (4:38) and Eric Clay (4:28) scored. After neither team scored in the first two overtimes, Shorts found the back of the net for the game-winning shot with 1:47 on the clock. He now has a team-high 39 goals on the year.

Carter Hall (Zeeland, MI / Zeeland West) collected 19 saves, his second-highest total this season, in a complete-game effort.
Hanover outshot Westminster 52-48, including 27-22 on goal. The Titans held a 33-30 advantage in ground balls. Shorts tied a season-high with a game-high seven ground balls, while freshman
Dante Serra (Center Valley, PA / Southern Lehigh) and Slater each earned four ground balls.
Westminster (7-6, 3-3 ORLC) will close out its regular season next Saturday, April 29 with an away game at conference foe Saint Vincent College at 1 p.m.
