KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Westminster College softball team split its two games at the Rebel Spring Games during its Florida trip on Saturday. The Titans won, 3-2, against Wheaton (Mass.) in game one and lost, 8-0, to New Jersey in game two.

Against Wheaton (1-1), the Titans took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning after junior
Courtney Cohen (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) scored senior
Emily Lindsey (Freeport, PA / Freeport) on a walk and junior
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) brought home senior
Checka Nardone (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) on a sacrifice fly. Wheaton tied the game at 2 with a run in the third. Rohrer scored the eventual game-winning run with an RBI-single in the sixth, scoring junior
Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley). Rohrer (2-0) pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on eight hits. She earned six strikeouts with no walks.

In game two, New Jersey (2-2) scored one run in the first inning, two runs in the third, four in the fifth, and one in the sixth. New Jersey outhit Westminster, 7-2. Titan freshman pitcher
Kayla Troxil (Canfield, OH / Canfield) (1-1) threw 4.0 innings, while giving up three runs on four hits. She struck out two and walked three.

Westminster (3-1) continues its Florida trip on Sunday, March 12. The Titans will play Gustavus Adolphus at 9 a.m., followed by Cornell at 11:15 a.m.
