KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Westminster College softball team split its two games in day three of the Rebel Spring Games on Sunday. The Titans won, 4-1, over Gustavus Adolphus in the first game and lost, 10-3, to Cornell in game two.
Gustavus (10-3) scored its lone run in the first inning; Aly Freeman earned an RBI-single. The Titans did all of their scoring in the second inning. Junior

Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley), and junior
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) all scored on an error. Junior
Hannah Ritter (Front Royal, VA / Skyline) scored sophomore
Cheyenne Shifflett (Etters, PA / Trinity) as she reached on with a fielder's choice. Rohrer improved to 3-0 after pitching a complete game. She gave up one run on three hits and struck out five, while walking seven.
In game two, Cornell (3-2) scored two runs in the second inning, two in the fourth, five in the fifth, and one in the sixth. The Titans scored two runs in the third and one in the fifth. Titan senior
Emily Lindsey (Freeport, PA / Freeport) doubled in junior
Courtney Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) and sophomore
Kailey Liverman (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) singled home Lindsey in the third. Liverman added her second RBI of the game in the fifth, after scoring Lindsey with a single. Titan first-year pitcher
Kayla Troxil (Canfield, OH / Canfield) (1-2) threw four innings, while giving up seven runs on 10 hits. She struck out two and walked the same.
The Titans (4-2) will continue their Florida trip on Tuesday, March 14. Westminster will play Springfield at 9 a.m. and Wooster at 11:15 a.m.
