NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team celebrated senior day with a 9-0 shutout of non-conference opponent Mount Aloysius College on Saturday afternoon.
 
Westminster extended its win streak to eight games while posting an overall record of 9-3. Mount Aloysius dropped to 3-8 overall.
 
Titan senior's Gabriele Eaborn (Coraopolis, PA / West Allegheny) (No.1) and Patricia Pivaronas (Saxonburg, PA / Knoch) (No.3) won their singles matches with ease, winning 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-2, respectively. Westminster sophomore Alex Marzouca (Miami, FL / Immaculate Conception) defeated her No.2 opponent 6-0, 6-0, while Titan first-year players Julia Serbati (Oil City, PA / Oil City Area) (No.4/ 6-0, 6-0), Casey Barton (Forest Hills, NY / Dominican Academy) (No.5/ 6-0, 6-0) and McKenna Robinson (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) (No.6/ 6-2, 6-2) won their matches, respectively.
 
The Titan doubles teams continued their season-long success. Eaborn/Serbati won their No.1 seeded match, 8-3, while Marzouca/Pivaronas teamed up at No.2, winning 8-0. Titan first-years Ashley Walsh (West Mifflin, PA / West Mifflin) and Alexis Grates (Tarentum, PA / Highlands) won their No.3-seeded match, 8-6.
 
Westminster concludes the regular season on Friday, October 13 at 3:30 p.m. at home against Grove City College.
