NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's basketball team won, 68-66, in overtime at home against Grove City College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Wednesday night.
 
Titan junior 
Deontay Scott (Youngstown, OH / East) registered his sixth double-double of the season, which included 14 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. Westminster freshman 
Cameron Kane-Johnson (Niles, OH / Niles) scored a team-best 15 points. Sophomore 
Austin Armwood (Columbus, OH / Westerville North) and senior 
Jason Pilarski (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) also scored in double-digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Senior 
Cameron Pozsgai (Windham, OH / Windham) added nine points. Pilarski and 
African Grant II (Warren, OH / Warren JFK) earned five rebounds apiece. Kane-Johnson also dished out a team-high five assists.
 
Westminster (10-4, 6-1 PAC) outshot Grove City (6-8, 2-5 PAC) 37.1% (23-62) to 31.8% (21-66). The Wolverines held a 52-49 advantage in rebounds.
 
The Titans were in front the entire first half and had their largest lead of 14 points (20-6) after Scott made a layup with 6:02 to play. Grove City responded with a 10-3 run to cut the Titans' lead to 23-16, the same score that Westminster led by at halftime. The second half consisted of seven ties and 10 lead changes. The Wolverines took their first lead of the game, 35-33, with 14:54 to play. The Titans were ahead 57-49 with 1:23 to play in regulation, however, Grove City orchestrated an 11-3 run, capped off with a layup by Zane Laws with eight seconds left, to tie the game at 60. Tied 66-66 with 2:12 to play in overtime, Scott made two free throws to put the Titans in front 68-66. The Wolverines took the ball out with three seconds remaining, but were unable to get a shot off as time expired.
 
Westminster, who is riding on a four-game winning streak, will next travel to Saint Vincent College on Saturday, January 14 for a PAC showdown at 6 p.m.
