ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team lost, 3-1, to Penn State Behrend on the road in a non-conference contest Wednesday night.
The Lions (5-1-2) netted their first goal at the 12:09 mark when Anthony Crivelli rebounded a shot off of a Titan save. Jared Myers extended Penn State Behrend's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 33rd minute.
Penn State added its third goal at the 52:01 mark in the second half, when Evan Augustine capitalized on a miscue from the Titan defense in clearing the ball.
Titan sophomore
Justin Brandt (Elliott City, MD / Archbishop Spalding) netted the lone Westminster goal, his third on the season, in the 55th minute after intercepting a pass from the Lion defense.
For the game, Westminster (3-4-2) out-shot Penn State, 17-13, including 10-3 in the second half. The Titans also held a 7-6 shots-on-goal advantage and an 8-5 edge in corner kicks.

AJ Bove (New Stanton, PA / Hempfield Area) earned three saves in 90 minutes.
Westminster will next play Saturday, October 1 for its Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener against Thiel College. The start time is set for 1 p.m.
