NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College baseball team swept Bethany College at home, which included its first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win on the season, on Saturday.

Westminster (4-25, 2-15 PAC) won 2-1 in game one and 10-5 in the second game.

In game one, senior Kyle Borton (Mineral Ridge, OH / Mineral Ridge) (2-6) earned the win in a one-run complete game. Borton allowed five hits, while striking out six batters and walking one. Westminster's two runs came in the first inning; junior Ty Ferlin (Latrobe, PA / Ligonier Valley) singled home sophomore Joseph Salmen (New Castle, PA / Union), followed by an RBI-single by sophomore Brandon Rossier (Wexford, PA / North Allegheny), which scored senior Ryan Dunn (Freeport, PA / Freeport). Bethany (7-22, 3-12 PAC) scored its lone run in the third. In the seventh inning, the Titan defense, led by impressive catches by Rossier and junior Jared Baummer (Reynoldsville, PA / Dubois) and a Borton strikeout for the final out, sealed the win for Westminster.
