Men’s Basketball: Domenick, Titans Scorch W&J, 99-75

WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's basketball team scored the most points in 10 years as it won, 99-75, at Washington & Jefferson College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Wednesday night.
 
Five Titans scored in double-digits, led by sophomore Brandon Domenick (New Castle, PA / New Castle) with a career-high 22 points, including a game- and career-best six made three-pointers. Also scoring in double-figures were sophomore Jarret Vrabel (Canfield, OH / Canfield) (19), senior Charlie Wallander (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) (17), freshman Paolo DePasquale (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) (11), and junior Jason Pilarski (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) (10). Vrabel's and DePasquale's marks were career-highs. Senior Paul Carswell (Painesville, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) led Westminster on the glass with six rebounds. Domenick also tied a game-high with a team-high five assists, while tying with freshman AJ Grant (Warren, OH / Warren JFK) with a game-high four steals. Vrabel tied a game-high with a team-best two blocks.
 
Washington & Jefferson led 7-3 with 16:12 remaining in the first half. Westminster took its first lead of game when Domenick made a three-pointer with 15:12 on the clock, putting the Titans in front 10-7. The Titans extended their lead with an 18-11 run to go in front 28-18 with 8:58 left. Westminster remained in front and led 45-36 at halftime. The Titans stayed ahead in the second half, while out-scoring the Presidents 54-39.
 
The Titans outshot the Presidents 50.6% (39-77) to 45.5% (25-55) and held a 39-34 rebound advantage.
 
Westminster will play its regular season finale Saturday as it hosts Geneva College at 3:30 p.m. for its Senior Day.
