NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected the women's tennis team as its "Titan Athletes of the Week."
 
The Titans won the 2016 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament over the weekend. Westminster won two of the three doubles flights and four of the six singles flights. Westminster second-year head coach Dave Hayden was voted the league's Coach of the Year, while senior Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, Pa. / Hollidaysburg) earned her fourth-straight individual flight championship.
 
With its league championship, Westminster has claimed the PAC's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. Preliminary rounds are scheduled to be played in May 2017.
