Volleyball: Titans Sweep Both Matches at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team won both of its matches at Saint Vincent College's tri-match on Saturday.
 
The Titans won, 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-23), against Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Saint Vincent in their first match and shut out Medaille College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-15), in their second contest.
 
Against Saint Vincent (9-11, 3-5 PAC), junior Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) led the Titan offense with a match-high 14 kills. First-year Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) and senior Katie Pricener (Wilmerding, PA / Serra Catholic) added 10 and seven kills, respectively. DeGeorge and sophomore Ashley Barker (Warren, PA / Warren Area) each had a match-high two aces. Pricener also had a match-high nine blocks, followed by senior Lauren Slater  (Plum, PA / Oakland Catholic) (5) and Yoho (4). Barker and sophomore Marti Liechty (Lolo, MT / Sentinel) led Westminster in assists with 19 and 15, respectively. DeGeorge and senior Megan Little (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) topped the Titan defense with 23 and 17 digs, respectively.
 
Against Medaille (4-14), Yoho once again led the offense with a match-high 11 kills. First-year Logan Daggy (East Rochester, OH / United Local) and sophomore Nikki Beatty (Darlington, PA / Blackhawk) added five kills each. Pricener registered a match-high four blocks. Barker tied a match-high with a team-high 14 assists, followed by Liechty with 11. Sophomore Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) led the Westminster defense with nine digs. Little and Daggy tallied eight and seven digs, respectively.
 
Westminster (11-9, 4-4 PAC) is back in action Thursday, October 6 when it hosts Thomas More College at 7 p.m.
