NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team won 58-44 at home over Chatham University in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday.

Chatham (5-12, 2-8 PAC), who led for most of the first half, had its largest lead of 18-10 with 9:02 remaining. Westminster (4-13, 3-7 PAC) regrouped and eventually tied the game at 24 after sophomore Shelby Brown (New Castle, PA / Mohawk) converted on a traditional three-point play with 1:50 on the clock. Brown put the Titans in front 27-24, their first lead since early in the half, after a three-pointer with 29 seconds remaining. Westminster would lead with the same score at halftime.

Westminster started the second half with an 8-0 run and led 35-24 with 16:13 on the clock. The Cougars, who were never able to regain the lead, got within six points (50-44) of the Titans' lead with 1:21 remaining in the game. Westminster finished strong with an 8-0 run to seal its third victory of its last four contests.

Senior Allison Borts (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) led the Titan offense with 12 points. Brown scored a season-high 11 points and was one rebound away from her first career double-double with nine boards. Sophomore Rachel Durbin (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) and first-year Kylie Cook (Pittsburgh, PA / Mount Lebanon) added eight points apiece.

Westminster out-shot Chatham 38.8% (19-49) to 25.9% (15-58) and dominated the boards with a 51-29 advantage.

The Titans will next travel to Waynesburg University (8-9, 5-5 PAC) on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. game start.
