NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Westminster College women's basketball team lost 63-52 at Muskingum Thursday in nonconference play. The Titans fall to 1-8 on the year and the Muskies improve to 6-4.
Junior forward Andi Ridge (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Starpoint) led the Titans with 10 points and senior forward Emily Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) bucketed nine points to go with a team high-tying six rebounds.
Hannah Nelson and Carissa Bosch led the Muskies with 14 points apiece while Amanda Dobbins scored 12 points to go with a game-high seven rebounds.
Muskingum induced 25 Westminster turnovers and the Muskies outshot the Titans 33.3 percent (18-54) to 42.9 percent (21-49).
Muskingum took its first double-digit lead of the game early in the second half but the Titans later whittled Muskingum's 14-point lead down to three points (47-44 with 6:05 remaining), but the Muskies went back up by as many as 11 points with just over a minute left.
Westminster stays in Ohio to visit Denison Friday at 3 p.m.
