NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - After leading nearly the entire second half, the Westminster College men's basketball team suffered a heart-breaking defeat to visiting Washington & Jefferson, 61-60, Thursday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action. He also tied sophomore forward Rob Briggs (Saxonburg, Pa./Knoch) for a game-high nine rebounds. Briggs scored six points for the Titans.

The Titans stormed to a 13-3 lead early in the game before W&J went on a 21-8 run that ended with a 9-0 run to take a 24-21 lead at the 9:07 mark of the first half. The Presidents led 36-31 at halftime, but Westminster established the lead with 16:10 remaining, a lead the Titans would hold until the waning seconds. The Titans led by as many as six points during the second half.
