Women's Basketball: Dolsak Sisters Lead Titans to PAC Win at Bethany

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Westminster College women's basketball team won its fifth Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) of the season Saturday at Bethany with a 64-56 victory. The Titans are now 7-10 overall and 5-3 in the PAC, while the Bison fall to 4-13 overall and 1-7 in the league.

The Dolsak sisters paved the way for Westminster as senior guard Amy Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) scored 15 points and sophomore forward Emily Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) tossed in 10 points. Amy tied a team high with three assists and Emily posted a team-high three blocks.

Senior Lynn Riley (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) pulled down a game and season-high nine rebounds for Westminster, which out-boarded the Bison 43-36.

Kayla Taormina led Bethany with a game-high 17 points off the bench, followed by starters Anne Wilson and Katelynn Hackathorn with 11 points apiece.

Bethany led the first four and a half minutes and, once Westminster took a 6-5 lead, both teams went on a four-minute scoring drought. After Westminster led 28-18 at halftime, the Titans would go up by as many as 12 points before the Bison cut the deficit to four points with 5:47 remaining. The Titans held at least a six-point cushion in the final two minutes.

The Titans host Saint Vincent Wednesday at 6 p.m.
