WASHINGTON, Pa. - By using a 15-0 run in the second half, the Westminster College men's basketball team knocked off Washington & Jefferson, 63-54, on the road Saturday in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest.

Despite entering the game losing 11 out of 12 games, Westminster (2-11, 2-1 PAC) humbled Washington & Jefferson (7-5, 0-2 PAC), a team that was picked to win the PAC according to the preseason poll.

Senior guard Bobby Glass (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) poured in a career-high 17 points including 3-7 shooting from 3-point range to lead Westminster.

Junior forward Ryne Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and sophomore guard Max Spinner (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton) also scored in double figures with 14 and 13 points, respectively, including Spinner sinking 3 of 5 shots from 3-point range.

The Titans shot 34.8 percent (8-23) from 3-point range while Glass and Spinner combined for 50 percent (6-12). Overall, Westminster shot 45.8 percent (22-48) from the floor compared to W&J at 36.8 percent (21-57).

Washington & Jefferson led 15-8 early in the game before the Titans went on a 10-4 run that included 3-pointers by Glass and Spinner. Spinner drained another 3-pointer in the waning seconds of the first half to give Westminster a 34-29 halftime lead.

W&J came back and led at one point during the second half with a one-point, 47-46 advantage with 8:57 left in the game. However, the Titans exploded for a 15-0 run that included another Spinner 3-pointer and W&J would not score again until the 2:03 mark. By then Westminster had a 13-point lead and control of the game down the stretch.
