Men's Basketball: Westminster Cruises to 13-Point PAC Win at Thomas More Saturday

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Westminster College men's basketball team scored its second-lowest game point total of the season but still managed to win by 13 points as the Titans defeated Thomas More, 76-63, Saturday in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.

Senior guard Nick Adams (Huntsburg, Ohio/Cardinal) led the Titans with a game-high 25 points for his fourth 20-point game of the season. Adams, who also led Westminster with seven rebounds, sank 7 of 9 shots from 3-point range as the Titans shot 13-of-27 (48.1 percent) from the field. 

Senior point guard Greg Rosatelli (Clinton, Pa./Hopewell) bucketed 20 points for his sixth game with 20 points or more of the season, four of which coming in the Titans' last five game. Rosatelli also led Westminster with six assists.

Senior guard/forward Dom Joseph (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) also scored in double figures with 11 markers.

Thomas More, which shot 21.1 percent (22-63) from the floor, had just one player score in double figures as Matt Tierney scored a team-high 10 points to go with his game-high nine rebounds.

Westminster established a firm lead with 11:40 remaining in the first half with a 31-21 lead built by made 3-pointers on three straight possessions, including two by Adams. Thomas More would draw as close as four points in the first half before the Titans took a 49-40 lead into halftime. Westminster dominated the second half as it led by 16 points (60-44) with 12:30 left in the game before holding a double-digit lead the rest of the game.

Westminster returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Grove City for a PAC game that tips-off at 7:30 p.m.
